1Who we are

OudBid is operated by TAKE IT SOLUTION COMPANY LIMITED (Company Registration No. 0105551051021), 135/51, Amornpan 205 Tower 2, 17th Floor, Soi Na Thong, Ratchadaphisek Road, Din Daeng Sub-district, Din Daeng District, Bangkok 10400, Thailand.

TAKE IT SOLUTION COMPANY LIMITED is responsible for the personal data processed through OudBid. In this policy, "we" and "us" refer to TAKE IT SOLUTION COMPANY LIMITED.

2Information we collect

  • Account information: your name and your WhatsApp number. You sign in with your WhatsApp number and a one-time code that we send to it. Adding an email address is optional.
  • Your agreement to receive WhatsApp messages: the wording you agreed to and when you agreed to it.
  • Your shipping address, if you add one, so that lots you win can be delivered.
  • Auction activity: the auctions you join, your bids, the lots you win, invitations, and comments you post on lots.
  • Sale records: when you win a lot, a record of the sale with the lot, the price, the date, and your name, WhatsApp number, email address and shipping address at that time.
  • Messages: records of the emails and WhatsApp messages we send you, including whether WhatsApp reports them as delivered and read, and the messages you send us — including photos and files you send us on WhatsApp (up to 20 MB each).
  • Technical information: the cookie that keeps you signed in, your IP address (which we also use to limit how often sign-in codes can be requested), and server logs that may include your IP address, browser type and the time of each request.
  • Photos and videos uploaded to auction lots.

3How we use your information

  • To create your account and to sign you in with one-time codes sent to your WhatsApp number.
  • To run auctions: recording bids, determining winning bids and showing auction activity to auction members.
  • To send you service messages by WhatsApp and email, such as sign-in codes, outbid alerts, closing reminders and auction results.
  • To arrange payment and delivery with you after you win a lot.
  • To keep OudBid secure and to prevent fraud and abuse, such as shill bidding or misuse of sign-in codes.
  • To keep the records the law requires, such as records of sales.

4WhatsApp messages

Sign-in codes are sent to your WhatsApp number whenever you ask for one.

Other WhatsApp messages (outbid alerts, auction results, closing reminders, new lots and invitations to auctions) are sent only if you agreed to receive them.

You can stop these messages at any time with the Stop WhatsApp messages button in your Profile, or by contacting us. If you stop them, we will not turn them back on unless you ask us to. You will still receive sign-in codes when you ask for them.

WhatsApp messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta, which processes your phone number and the message content to deliver them, in accordance with WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. WhatsApp tells us whether each message was delivered and read; we use this only to check that our messages reach you.

You can turn off optional emails, such as alerts about new lots, in your Profile or with the unsubscribe link in those emails.

5Who can see your information

  • Other members of an auction you join can see your bids and your display name.
  • The OudBid team at TAKE IT SOLUTION COMPANY LIMITED can see your contact details, shipping address and the messages and files you send us, to manage your account, answer you and arrange payment and delivery for lots you win.
  • Service providers that operate OudBid on our behalf, only to the extent needed for their services: our hosting in Thailand, Cloudflare (which delivers and protects the website and processes your IP address), and Twilio SendGrid (which delivers our emails).
  • Meta, when we send you messages through WhatsApp.
  • Public authorities, where we are required by law to share information.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

6Cookies

OudBid uses only cookies that are necessary for the website to work: the cookie that keeps you signed in, which lasts up to 45 days, and cookies that Cloudflare may set to protect the website from automated abuse. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

7Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers located in Thailand. If you use OudBid from another country, your data is transferred to and processed in Thailand.

Cloudflare delivers the website through its global network. Emails we send you are delivered through Twilio SendGrid, which processes your name, email address and the content of those emails in the United States. WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Each of them processes your data only for that purpose.

8How long we keep your data

We keep your data only for as long as we need it:

  • Account information: for as long as your account is open.
  • Sign-in codes: stored only in hashed form, valid for 15 minutes and deleted within two days.
  • Bids, comments and auction results: kept as part of each auction's history. After you close your account they are shown as "Deleted user".
  • Auctions you organised: kept archived with their lots, photos and videos after you close your account, shown as organised by "Deleted user". We delete them on request.
  • Sale records: 10 years from the date of sale, for legal, tax and accounting purposes and to resolve disputes. They are then deleted automatically.
  • Messages and records of messages: for as long as your account is open — or, if you contact us without an account, for as long as we need them to handle your request. Your contact details and the message contents are removed when you close your account.
  • Photos and files you send us on WhatsApp: 90 days, then deleted automatically. They are deleted straight away if you close your account.
  • Server logs: only for as long as we need them for security and troubleshooting.
  • You can close your account at any time. See https://sit.oudbid.com/data-deletion for what we delete and what we keep.

9Your rights

Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and obtain a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • request the deletion of your data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.
  • You can update your name, email address and shipping address, and close your account, in your Profile.

10Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to our servers, and by storing sign-in codes and passwords only in hashed form. Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes and can be tried only a few times. No online service can be completely secure, so please keep your phone and your WhatsApp account secure and never share a sign-in code with anyone.

11Age requirement

OudBid is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
